What I’m Packing For A Year of Sailing

So for those who know, I’m a couple days away from taking off from the biggest journey I’ve ever embarked upon. I’m about to spend a year sailing the world docking roughly 15,000 nautical miles.

At the very bottom, you’ll find a full packing list.

I’m exactly three days from leaving Hong Kong and I have yet to pack my belongings but instead have spent way too much time taking photos of my things for this post.

This is by no means everything that I’m bringing and I’m also planning on buying things along the way on my journey.

These are most of my warm layers, including several long sleeves, fleeces, sweatshirts and sailing jackets.

The Helly Hansen jacket is great for sailing as it works as both a raincoat and wind jacket.

The denim jacket is probably very extra but I can’t imagine going anywhere without my trust coat for an entire year.

Then two pairs of leggings and another pair of good jeans that will do me very well. This may not be all the pants I’m bringing but I’m really only planning on bringing one pair of jeans. Of course you can’t forget the good ole socks.

If you thought the bikini top above was the only swimsuit I’m packing, then you probably overestimate me… I may try to lead a minimalistic lifestyle but…

Now can’t forget about the rest of the supplies. I highly recommend Dr Bronner’s 18 in 1 soap for travellers. You can essentially use it to wash your clothes, as shampoo, body soap etc.

Once again, these photos do not represent everything I’m bringing with me

Also, the images may look all tidy and whatnot but here’s what my packing room really looks like at the moment.
